Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Treatment/Therapy (RCT) is a dental procedure employed to address tooth pain, abscesses, or infections that result from nerve tissue inflammation inside a tooth.

In our holistic approach, we conscientiously contemplate the broader implications on the entire body, acknowledging the intricate connection between dental health and overall well-being.

The RCT process typically spans three separate appointments. To ensure your comfort and alleviate pain, during the first appointment, we gently remove the inflamed tissue from the tooth's canal and sterilize it using medicaments.

In the second appointment, we continue by meticulously preparing and shaping the tooth canals, ensuring they are ready for successful sealing in the final stage.

At the last appointment, we evaluate symptoms and results before gently sealing the canals with a biocompatible material called Gutta Percha. Gutta Percha, derived from the purified coagulated exudate of mazer wood trees.

Once the RCT is successfully completed, your dentist may recommend a crown or cap to enhance the tooth's longevity.

At Friendly Smiles Dental, we approach each case with individualized care, considering your condition and overall health. We gently guide you through each step, discussing implications and alternative options to RCT during your appointments, ensuring you receive the most suitable treatment for your needs. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities."
